Concept, Editorial and Illustration
Freelance
I was responsible for the graphic concept and implementation, while all texts were written by Vatan Ukaj and Özge Uslu from WERTansich(t). The corporate design of the Internationaler Bund was used as a starting point, but I applied it flexibly. To emphasize the interactive character and create an engaging design, I avoided using photos and instead illustrated parts of the booklet. This allows readers to better identify with the people in the booklet and gain insights into the project, encouraging reflection.
Unlike an ordinary brochure, “How do we want to live?” does not begin
with a foreword or even the table of contents — instead, an initial
question prompts readers to reflect and immediately establishes the
interactive character of the booklet.
From the table of contents onward, footprints run as a common thread
throughout the booklet. They show the path a person can take and make it
clear that every member of society automatically leaves traces. The
continuous footprints lead past information pages and interactive pages
that present tasks from the workshops. They end on a detachable postcard
that invites readers to write down their own thoughts and suggestions
and send them to the Internationaler Bund.
